What is our life’s work? Have we ever considered what it would be like to master a skill that has always captivated our imagination? It might seem far-fetched, but the idea of mastering oneself can be an exciting and fulfilling endeavor. Of course, we may think that such a goal isn’t possible because there are so many variables in life, and the odds are against giving maximal effort each day. But when we find something worth doing, it is worthwhile to see how far we can go!
Our imagination only limits us. We can be anything we want to be if we set ourselves up with these strategies!
It’s essential to have both long-term and short-term goals. Short-term goals are the pathway towards achieving your long-term ambitions, so thinking about what we want in a year or two is not enough! The daily tasks we complete can make small steps towards our big dreams, which means that it pays off more than ever before to focus on those more minor things each day. So set some achievable targets today and set up plans for tomorrow – don’t forget about either set of milestones!
Become who you need to be
To be the best painter we can be, it’s necessary to become a person that values creativity. We must also have courage and show our work at all times so others may critique us. So who is it that we need to become to get to where we want to be?
Remember, our progress comes quickly at first and then slows.
After a year of practicing anything new for several hours each day, we’re significantly better than we were on day one. But, more than likely, we will not see that same significant jump in years 2 & 3 as skills become mastered and focus fades.
When we have many tasks that need doing, it can be easy to put all our energy into them. But if we try and do everything at once, the quality of each task will suffer dramatically. On the other hand, if we want our achievements in life to matter, then time is an essential resource; there’s only so much left before things go wrong for everyone involved – or even worse: right when they’re on their way up!
We don’t get many opportunities in this lifetime, but every single one counts.
How to be the best at what you do? The secret is in regular, intentional practice. It must become an integral part of our life, and two ways this can happen: find a mentor or support group. Stay focused and diligent until it becomes second nature.
Reaching our full potential in the literal sense might not be what we want, but it is possible. We should consider all of our responsibilities before deciding to take this route, though. Nevertheless, the option exists for us to reach our true potential and grow as a person outside of societal expectations that have been placed on us by society’s standards.
Whether we want to reach our full potential or enhance our expertise in one aspect of life, the solution is always with a bit of work. The only difference between reaching that goal and enhancing what skillset already exists lies solely within how much effort we’re willing to put into it.
Be Better Than Yesterday
